Since Feb 2007, I am based at the Faculty of Life Science (LIFE), University of Copenhagen, Denmark, to teach botany and conduct my own research on gingers and other herbaceous plants.

In May–June 2008 I will be involved in the teaching systematic botany in a number of courses at LIFE including "Botany of Cultivated Plants".

In February–April 2008, I was on fieldwork in Indonesia and Papua New guinea. I am presently in the process of analysing the data including extracting DNA samples at LIFE.

We spent one month in Sulawesi and found exceptionally many gingers in flower – like here on Gunung Nokilalaki: Nokilalaki
